1. What is Semi Permanent Makeup?

Semi-permanent make-up is a complexion non-surgical treatment to enhance eyes, brows and lips to add definition to the face. This technique involves injecting pigment through a fine vibrating needle into the most epidermal layer of the skin. A local anesthetic cream numbs the area pre-treatment.

2. Am I a good candidate for semi permanent makeup?

  • You may not be a good candidate if you have any of the following conditions:
    • Taking Isoretinoin (Accutane)
    • Pregnant or Nursing
    • Tendency to Keloid scaring (please contact us for quick consult)
    • Botox in the brow area which has altered the placement of your brows (please wait 2 months for the effects to wear off)
    • Under the age of 18
    • Serious diseases that can affect your body's healing process, such as cancer or autoimmune disorders (please consult with your physician)
    • Bleeding Disorders (please consult with your physician)
If you are taking any medications that contain blood thinners or affect your body's ability to heal, please consult with your physician first before booking your appointment.

3. Do I have to shave off my eyebrow hair before my semi permanent makeup procedure?

Absolutely not! We can assure you that this does not happen, and your natural brows will remain firmly intact. As you can see from the photo, we gently remove any untidy hair outside the basic line, this is called trimming any excess hair outside the brow shape– just as if you were having a brow wax! We can then see the final shape clearly before drawing your perfect brow ready for tattooing.

4. Is the procedure painful?

  • It varies person to person, Some clients describe feeling minimal pain and discomfort comparable to threading or waxing; while others report feeling barely any pain at all. Before the procedure, our cosmetic tattoo artist will apply anesthetic numbing cream to the area before and throughout the procedure and we always do our best to make sure you are comfortable.

9. What will I look like after my procedure is done?

Your Semi-Permanent Make-Up color in any area like eyebrow, eyeliner and lips will look stronger, darker in color immediately after the treatment, but it will soften to a more natural shade in time. It is not unusual for lips area to appear swollen immediately after the first treatment, but they will return to the natural size and shape within a few days.
